The St Regis Nusa Dua is Fabulous as is Bali.

It is a 16 hour flight from the UK to Bali. Emirates now flies to Denpasar, so it could be a good idea to break up the journey and fly there via Dubai to reduce the jet lag. When describing Bali all I can say is “wow” what a beautiful place especially for it’s natural beauty and wonderful people. It is known for volcanic mountains, lush rain forests, stunning beaches as well as great sea and corals. There is so much to see and do. My husband and I stayed in Nusa Dua and travelled around Bali.  We went white water rafting and swimming in the Tegnungan. We visited the monkey forest, walked in the rice fields, and went to the elephant sanctuary. Oh as well as relaxing on the beach 🙂 It was amazing.

We stayed at the St Regis In Nusa Dua and it was a Great hotel.

The rooms were very colonial in style as most St Regis hotels are.  It was also very spacious. On arrival in the room there was a note with a complimentary beach bag and panama hat which was a nice touch. The only complaint I had with most of the rooms is that they smelt damp, which I can’t stand.  The hotel managed to find me with one of the better smelling rooms and a humidifier so it got sorted. I know it is very tropical in Indonesia but still I think at the St Regis they should have something like this under control. The breakfast was probably the best I have ever had in a hotel. We had lobster omelette daily, an array of fruits and smoothies. They even had German pretzels which made my German husband very happy.

The grounds of this hotel are outstanding especially the natural beauty. It was obvious that a lot of time and effort is spent on maintaining them. The swimming pools were also beautiful and crystal blue. You could swim for ten minutes and not even meet a single person. That is my idea of luxury.  This hotel defiantly lives up to the St Regis Brand.

A few more small touches that I  liked were when you were by the beach or pool the attendants  would come and clean your sunglasses and offer you fruit sticks.  Also every morning the  butler would arrive at your room with coffee.

The restaurants choices at this hotel were quite limited and when we asked the concierge for recommendations for external ones they kept trying to push us to eat at the hotel. This began to irritate me by the second night as their job is to provide recommendations. We did eat a lot in the small deli, it served pizza pasta and a good choice of wine.

Overall I would highly recommend Bali and The St Regis. I will definitely return again in the near future.
